The biggest problem with it is no sunroof. Webasto makes one for it, but still

It doesn’t come with one at all? That sucks. I like a sunroof.
That also explains why my search for one with a sunroof came up with nothing.

Sunroof is only available on the sedan, and I think only on automatic only trims of the sedan too.

The sunroof market is weird. You Google “why does the Ranger not have a sunroof,” nothing . No one (except me) asks about it. Meanwhile, people online are loud about the Golf R, a much more niche car, not having one.
A big draw for the RAM 1500 is the panoramic roof. Big screen first, then the big roof. It turns out more truck people seem to like the sunroofs than the availability seems to hint. That’s why Nissan rushed one out when they didn’t have one available at all before for the Titan.

There’s a vehicle that comes with a big sunroof pretty much standard, it’s available in bright red, dark green, and a couple shades of blue, and it’s a much better deal than a Corolla hatchback.

I still wish the Cayman came with a sunroof. Admittedly it would be very small b ecause of the roof slope/size, but it’s not like they didn’t make a mail-slot sunroof for the 911 back in the day.
I have a Boxster as a work-around, but it’s the one (missing) option that would keep me from moving to a 981 Cayman.

The Ram and Golf aren’t as good as a Corolla. Toyota makes the best cars :o)

The regular Golf and GTI both have available sunroofs so the R thing is more WTF than the Ranger if the Ranger just doesn’t have one anywhere in any trim period. VW could definitely get away with a $1,500 sunroof option on the R I think.

The 6 speed is offered, though only on the SE and XSE trims I believe.
